About Us
The Science Education And Society Research Program is based in the Department of Biology at Florida International University. We are interested in broad questions relating to the delivery and practice of education from kindergarten to doctorate.
Our research projects include specific questions on pedagogical practices in the classroom, as well as the role that social contexts play in students’ learning gains. The lab conducts research in biology education and science education in general, implements projects related to education practice, engages in outreach programs, and designs curricula to re-engage education as a driving force for improving social equity.
